HELLO ENGLISH
As a joined venture of the State Government and SSA Kerala introduced Hello English at the Primary section of School Education. Hello English aimed at improving the quality of English Teaching and Learning in the class room. Every student should be a good communicator in english. The teacher should be well equiped to face the changing needs in our class room. The communication skill and the level of confidence of the teachers should be raised. During the summer vacation all the teachers were given 8 days training in the methods of Hello English.
Together with the practicing teachers the BRC staff also joined in trying out the activity package in schools. GHSS Kuruka , GLPS Klari, and AUPS Thenhipalam were selected for tryout. BRC trainer Manoharan and CRCC’s Reena and Sheela took the tryout classes.
It is found that in schools majority of teachers handling english are untrained in Hello English method. To get them trained became the need of the hour. So a oneday training programme was conducted at BRC level. The training was scheduled on 27 and 28 of July. On 29 training was given to the teachers from Muslim schools and General schools was given the next day. Total number of participants were 427. It falls about 80% of the targeted numbers
